- Sew day is April 24, from 12-5 at the Maker Space on the CU Boulder campus! $5 to attend, please RSVP and pay online! We are currently looking into other spaces for sew day and are open to suggestions.

- Creative webinar on MQG website on April 14, 2016: The Hallmarks of Modern Machine Quilting by Christa Watson
- Sewtopia to be held in Denver from April 20th to the 23rd, 2017 at Embassy Suites downtown. Registration opens July 12, 2016. Anna Graham from Noodlehead and Lizzy House are the instructors.
- Shelby Skumanich spoke about the quilts chosen and inspiration for the RMQM show. Please take some time to review the post with information and pictures about each of the quilts and spend some time thinking about what you are interested in making for the show. We will be talking about our plans in the June meeting. She will be sending out an email prior to May’s meeting with some more information.
- Shelby will be talking about her quilts, doing a hand quilting demo and hanging out during the business meeting and sew day at the Front Range Modern Quilt Guild on May 21, 2016 from 10am to 5pm.
- She also has information about a call for entries for a show in January of 2017 at the Ontario History and Art Museum. The show is called Modern Quilts: Redesigning Traditions. The deadline for submissions is August, 15, 2016. Please contact her if you are interested in information.
- Lauren Lang spoke about next months program! It is an initiative to get barn quilts hung on all the barns in Boulder county! A charity quilt will be part of the project and will be donated to.
- Tonight’s program was put on by Dana Jones. Dana had a wonderful slide show of her time on Caohagan Island in the Phillipines. She has also written a book about the people and how quiltmaking has changed the island income. She had a lovely group of quilts from them and also had some to sell.
- The evening was completed with show and share. So many lovely projects happening in our guild.
