This year’s Adventures in Quilting (AIQ) challenge is designed to push your color boundaries. Each envelope contains five randomly selected paint chips, and your challenge, should you choose to accept it, will be to use these colors as a basis to create your project.
The rules :
- Of the five paint chips you received, you can discard one of your choice, if desired. You can also use all five for your design.
- You can add as much other fabric as you want, in any color or quantity (prints or solids).
- You do not need to match the paint chips exactly. Close enough is good enough.
- There are no dimension requirements for your final project. Make a king size quilt or a postcard!
Timeline:
- March 12, 2025 – distribute the five paint chips to those who want to participate.
- if you missed this meeting, please email Amy – president@denvermetromqg.org
- September 10, 2025 – during our September meeting we will ahve a quilt show where participants in the challenge can show off their work!
At our March meeting, guild members were invited to take a sealed envelope containing five mystery color swatches. To participate in the challenge, each person must use at least four of the five colors from their envelope, and can add more colors if they want, to create a quilted project.
We handed out more than 50 envelopes so far! Quilters will share their creations during the September guild meeting.
